A thought occurred to me last week...this time of year we hear a lot about people's favorite things. I thought it would be nice if we could all share some things that we have discovered over the past year that we really enjoy. Like Oprah does but on a smaller scale naturally. Of course then I had to think about this to see if I could come up with 10 things I have started using, doing differently etc. over the past 12 months. It took me by surprise that it wasn't too hard. So over the next ten days-the last ten days of 2012-I've decided to talk about one item each day. At first I wondered whether or not to do this "countdown style"...list my most favorite item as #1 for example but as I looked over my list I decided that would be hard to do. I enjoy them all! So, let's get started!
Today, I will talk about the music of Lindsey Stirling. This young lady really knows how to express herself through her talent. Not only does her music stir your soul but her visual expression of it is amazing. She is not afraid to cover video game themes and complete them with visuals of actually portraying the characters but she also goes so far as to mix things up with styles such as dubstep. Her video for "Crystallize" was noted as the #8 trending YouTube video for 2012 recently-quite an achievement! It seems there is no style of music she cannot approach and stamp with her own unique style. She recently released her first album and after Christmas that will be my first download (we have a rule-no buying anything for yourself after Thanksgiving).
